Blake Ramsey grew up in Chappaqua, New York, and recognizes how fortunate she was to be raised by creative parents who exposed her to a wide variety of art and design. She was also influenced by her grandmother, who had eclectic taste and shared with Blake her amazing collection of clothing and accessories from around the world. Blake pursued her creative bent studying Fine Arts at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her ideal weekend is spent with her family, walking the High Line or Hudson River Park. She loves to travel, and gets a particular thrill from seeing animals in their natural habitats.

Favorite childhood objects: I loved making photocopies -- of my books, drawings, hands, and occasionally even my face.
Earliest color preference: BLUE! You'll still find me dressed head to toe in various shades of the color. Electric blue is my favorite.
Collections: I collected pigs, plus anything and everything that would potentially make a good craft supply.
Trend you miss: I've always loved leopard print -- and luckily that seems to come back into style every couple of years.
Influential movies: The Muppets! I still am still in awe of Jim Henson's work.
Most prized possession: Old family photos
Hobby: Crafting!
On the nightstand: I'm taking a break from a long string of Alexander McCall Smith books to read The American Wife, a juicy novel based loosely on the life of Laura Bush.
